  1. Dom Ramsey says:

Although I enjoyed my visit to Planète Chocolat and the chocolate making demonstration we were given, there wasn’t a great deal of substance to it.

I went with a group of British bloggers, and rather too much emphasis was given to Belgian chocolate being superior to anything else in the world. The actual chocolate we sampled (and bought) was fairly average quality Belcolade, and although there was a decent selection in the shop, it wasn’t spectacular.

That said, if you’re exploring Brussels in a group, the demos are a nice way to spend an hour or so – just call in advance to book.

During my stay in Brussels, I went to Planete Chocolat to attend the demonstration on Saturday at 4 pm. I really enjoyed it and had really a pleasant time. Jean received us and did the demonstration. He was really funny: I just couldn’t stop laughing. I discovered a chocolate taste at Planete Chocolat I had never tasted anywhere else. You feel that it is real artisanal chocolate. I was really impressed with the 72 different tastes of their pralines. I couldn’t choose what to buy, but I made a selection. Since then, I regularly order chocolate from their shop to be sent directly at home… I recommend you this Belgian home made chocolate in Brussels.
