One of the things I love about living in London is the number and range of chocolate related events we have. I particularly enjoy Yael Rose’s chocolate festivals which take place a couple of times a year in London, Brighton & Oxford.
Last week I went to the press launch for the upcoming Easter festivals. Yael was joined by chocolatiers Damian Allsop, Bill McCarrick (from Sir Hans Sloane) and Debbie Franklin from William Curley to talk about the upcoming festivals and share the chocolatey goodness.
Upcoming Festival Dates
Oxford: 2nd – 3rd April, Broad Street
London: 8th – 10th April, Southbank Centre
Brighton: 16th – 17th April, New Road
The festivals are also helping support The Big Chocolate Tea Party in aid of the Sick Childrens Trust. The trust helps provide quality accommodation to parents of sick children in hosptial, helping families with seriously ill children stay together. You can find out more about the trust and how to get involved with the Big Chocolate Tea Party on their website.
I highly recommend getting along to your local festival if you can. They’re a great place not just to buy your Easter chocolate, but to meet some of the best chocolatiers in the country, watch demonstrations and generally get involved.
